Who we are
Greetings
We are a community of Christ that seeks to live Jesus in our ordinary lived lives, and in our community life together. Have a dig around this website if you’d like to know more. Or come along one Sunday at 10am to meet with us for worship in a contemporary relational style.
What we believe
The centrality of Christ to our lives;
The need for a personal response to Jesus for salvation;
The authority of Scripture for what we believe and how we live;
Baptism of believers;
The priesthood of all believers – we are a faith community where all are equal before God, and each is uniquely gifted by God for service;
Congregational government. The Baptist Union is a voluntary union of independent churches. For NPBC, all leadership is accountable to the Members.

North Porirua Baptist Church Service Times
Our Sunday Services start at 10 am and generally finish by 11.30 am. We recognise everybody is at a different place in their spiritual journey, so we encourage people to participate or just observe in whatever way is helpful for them.
During the service, we take up an offering of money and food. The offering bags for money are for those who are committed here. If you are new or visiting, you should feel free to just pass the bag on. The money is used for the work of the local church here, and also for the wider work we are committed to. The food helps support food banks in Cannons Creek.
Powerhouse, our Children’s Programme runs from 10.15 am till the end of the service. The children go to their programme after the notices. There is a crèche, preschool group, primary group and an intermediates group. Parents are very welcome to stay with their children. Please ask at the door if you are not sure where to go. During the holidays, only the crèche runs, but we do attempt to make the services more child friendly during this period.
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Put me to what You will
Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.
