Who we are
St. Mark's by the Lake was established in the 1950's as a place for the people of the community of St. Clair Beach to gather in worship and faith and to serve God's world by sharing God's grace. That remains the heart of the life of St. Mark's. We gather together in community. We worship almighty God. We are filled with God's grace and love and then share it in loving service to our fellow human beings. We are a church that is interested in walking the walk and talking the talk so that God may be known in word and deed in and through our common life. We invite you to come and share this life with us so that we can grow together in the love of Christ.

Teach us to serve Thee
Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest: To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will.
