Who we are
We are the Anglican Parish of Whitby in the city of Porirua, New Zealand. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of Wellington.
Most of our parishioners live in Whitby but some live in neighbouring suburbs.
We are passionate about our younger parishioners, from the babies through to the young adults. We offer a range of programmes to engage the different age groups and to support them and their families in their faith journeys.

St Mary's Anglican Church, Whitby Service Times
Worship at St Mary’s is based on the liturgical traditions of the Anglican Church, but with a contemporary twist. We sing a range of modern songs and traditional hymns. Prayer, particularly for healing, and sharing our stories are important elements in our weekly gatherings. We aim to provide worship that meets the needs of varying ages, personalities and stages of faith development.
Our main service is at 9.30 am every Sunday and includes teaching programmes for children. We celebrate Holy Communion usually on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month and during special celebrations.
