Who we are
Wester Hailes is a friendly, caring and loving church, which extends these qualities to the surrounding area through outreach activities and clubs that go on throughout the week.
We meet together to worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00am and Sunday evenings at 6:30pm (Creche and Sunday school available during the morning service for children who are of primary school age).
If you are looking for a church in your area or interested in some of the activities offered, you are invited to come along and check us out.
At the end of the second world war, when new building projects were being started in the suburbs of Edinburgh, a small Sunday School was formed in the old Longstone Primary School. This was established by the members of Charlotte Baptist Church, based in the centre of Edinburgh.
From that small Sunday School founded in 1949, the present church at Clovenstone started. The building was officially opened in 1973, under the ministry of the late Rev Alex Hardie. The membership steadily increased and the building was further extended in 1982.
