Who we are
Our desire is to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there’s relevant teaching, heartfelt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need.
Our doors are open wide to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
So whether you’re just starting out, or a committed follower of Christ who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at 5 Stones Church.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you might have. We hope to meet you soon!
OUR PURPOSE
Every church needs to have a purpose statement that answers the question, “why do we exist?” At 5 Stones Church we filter every idea through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it.
Our purpose at 5 Stones Church is summarized in a single statement:
"To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus, that they too might become fully devoted followers of Christ."
We see a church where, on a regular basis, people come to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We see a church that helps connect each person into life-giving relationships where they can find community and in doing so... experience freedom from past mistakes.
We see a church where each person is using their gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of other people.
Our doors are open wide to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
So whether you’re just starting out, or a committed follower of Christ who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at 5 Stones Church.

Leader Bio:
Sean Clarke grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. While attending Auburn University, Sean felt called into full-time ministry. After graduating with a degree in Mass Communications, he worked as a Sports Reporter for the NBC station in Montgomery, Alabama. Two years later he moved back to his home town and began his studies and training for ministry.
While in Birmingham, he met his wife Rhiannon. They served as youth pastors in Mobile, Alabama and Birmingham, Alabama.
While serving in youth ministry, Sean felt called to plant a church. They prayed and searched for where they might begin this new work.
In 2003, Sean came across a new church plant in Birmingham. He felt an immediate connection to the life-giving ministry that was taking place there and in 2004, he and his family moved to Church of the Highlands. They had no idea the miracle that they would be a part of as Church of the Highlands became one of the largest and fastest growing multi-site churches in America.
Under the leadership of his pastor, Chris Hodges, Sean has been able to experience and help lead incredible ministry opportunities. He received his Ordination for Ministry at Church of the Highlands. He launched their first campus outside the city located in Auburn, Alabama. He served as Director of Church Planting with the Association of Related Churches. Prior to moving to Tennessee, Sean served as part of the Executive Team that helps lead Church of the Highlands.
The move to Nashville
In 2009, Sean made a trip to the Nashville area and while visiting, felt God calling him to plant a church in this city. In the fall of 2015, God confirmed that now is that time. With all that Sean and Rhiannon have enjoyed doing, they are most passionate about helping people experience a life-giving and fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ.

I ask for...
I ask you neither for health nor for sickness, for life nor for death; but that you may dispose of my health and my sickness, my life and my death, for your glory... You alone know what is expedient for me; you are the sovereign master, do with me according to your will. Give to me, or take away from me, only conform my will to yours. I know but one thing, Lord, that it is good to follow you, and bad to offend you. Apart from that, I know not what is good or bad in anything. I know not which is most profitable to me, health or sickness, wealth or poverty, nor anything else in the world. That discernment is beyond the power of men or angels, and is hidden among the secrets of your providence, which I adore, but do not seek to fathom.
