Abingdon St Helen Service Times
Preschool Nativity Play
Everyone is welcome to join St Helen's Baby and Toddler Group's Christmas Celebration. Bring your little one dressed as a shepherd or angel and take part in our Nativity Story. Followed by music, teas and a chance to meet our lovely donkey. This is a FREE event for accompanied children with a collection for the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary.

A very short (35min) service for families, thanksgiving for the gift of children, followed by refreshments

Vespers
A short service of Biblical prayer and praise, exploring the rich tradition of Christian chant, and featuring creative engagement with Scripture through discussion, imagination, contemplation, music, and the visual arts.
Every first Sunday at 5:30 PM for ¾ hour
until Sunday 3rd July 2016
Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong is sung by St Helen's choir on the third Sunday of the month. Very occasionally there is a simple Sung Evensong instead.

Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth... may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding you give us. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.
