We believe God wants our congregation to exist in Indian Harbour Beach at this time in order to:
INVITE people to know Christ. As Christ's disciples, we reach out to our neighbors to invite them to share in our community of faith.
GROW a community of faith. We provide new opportunities, both within and outside our congregation, to learn more about Christ and deepen our relationship with him.
SERVE others. We identify our neighbors' needs so that we can support, and as individuals and as a congregation, work together to make a difference.

Leader Bio:
Rev. Dr. Phil WhitenerReverend Doctor Phil Whitener, a native of North Carolina, is the pastor at Ascension. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois, a Master of Divinity Degree from Lutheran Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Memphis Theological Seminary, Memphis Tennessee. Pastor Phil has served congregations in South Carolina and Florida over the past 30 years. He and his wife, Mary, have a son and a daughter, and a granddaughter. Â
