Who we are
St. John's Augsburg, formed in 1862, is often referred to as the 'mother church' of the Upper Ottawa Valley. Each year we celebrate our heritage while at the same time remembering our faithful with an annual Cemetery Decoration Service. Currently we are working on 'greening' our current church building by replacing the original windows as funding permits. In reaching out to our greater community, we support Lutherlyn Camp & Conference Center, our local Food Bank, and the Christian Salvage mission, as well as CLWR initiatives. In 2012 we celebrated our 150th Anniversay with many events including a German language service and an 1860's Olde Fashioned Service, complete with period costumes! From time to time we feature an afternoon gospel sing using various talent from across the Upper Ottawa Valley. We are a part of the Augsburg-Bonnechere Lutheran Parish.

Put me to what You will
Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.
