Who we are
Our journey began in November 1988 as a small group of people meeting in a home with a vision to build a church that would bring life to Birmingham. That small group grew to become the church that we are today. We continue to be a community who carry that vision and are passionately pursuing God’s heart for our city through our ordinary everyday lives.
We are a church where lives are changing. A place where people are excited about following Jesus and experiencing life in a new way. We are a people who are bringing life to our city and communities and a place where we see transformation happen as we pursue the dreams that God has placed in our hearts.
God has called us to build a church in one of Europe's youngest cities where the overwhelming majority of people are not following Jesus. Birmingham Vineyard is about Bringing Life to our City as we invite people to follow Him. Through our prayers and action we are seeking the peace and prosperity of the greater Birmingham area (Jeremiah 29 v 7). We are called to be a large church and to have a pioneering local presence across our city through an expanding network of cells, communities and local services.

Birmingham Vineyard Service Times
Our Sunday Services begin at 9:30am, 11:15am & 5:30pm. On the 4th Sunday of every month we meet in our communities around the city instead of in the church building, so it's worth checking what's happening This Sunday.
We start with a time of worship which lasts for about 25 minutes. The songs we sing are like prayers set to music and can help us express to God what’s in our hearts. The words will be on screen, so feel free to join in, or just listen to the music. Mid-way through we take a short break for notices and information. We then have a practical talk from the bible and there will then be an opportunity for response and prayer at the end of the service.
Communion is served at each service on a monthly basis. If you are on a journey towards Jesus, you are very welcome to join in.
After the service please make your way over to the welcome area where you can chat to some of our team, ask any questions you might have and pick up some useful information. We also serve coffee and tea again after each service.
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
