Who we are
Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences. We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We believe that there is One Living and True GOD, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings and that it supersedes any earthly law contrary to its scripture. We at Calvary Chapel Crossfields church use the New King James version, which has been approved by many denominations and is as close to the original languages as much as possible.
We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. The Holy Spirit is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
We believe in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in accordance to Scripture.
We believe that all of mankind is sinful by nature and can not merit nor deserve salvation, but those who repent and call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, being fully God and fully man.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two observances to the church: full immersion baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church where all believers will meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that will come upon the earth.
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord.

Leader Bio:
Joseph DeProssimo is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Crossfields. Prior to attending Calvary Chapel Crossfields he served for 2 years as Pastoral Staff at CC Old Bridge and led a Bible Study in the South Brunswick area for 3 years. Pastor Joe believes that God’s sacred Scripture is the ultimate authority and that teaching God’s word verse-by-verse will edify believers and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Joe subscribes to the biblical principle and Calvary Chapel philosophy of winning a person to Christ, discipling believers, and ultimately sending them out to affect the rest of the world as Jesus did. Pastor Joe is a graduate of Rutgers University, he completed a 25-year police career and is deeply involved in the South Brunswick/Jamesburg community and the surrounding areas. He has a heart for sharing the message of God’s unmatchable grace to those less fortunate and those who feel they have no hope. Pastor Joe is supported in ministry by Heather, his wife of 22 years, and their son.

Let no darkness overtake me
Visit, I beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation with thy mercy, and me with thy grace and salvation. Let thy holy angels pitch their tents round about and dwell here, that no illusion of the night may abuse me, the spirits of darkness may not come near to hurt me, no evil or sad accident oppress me; and let the eternal Spirit of the Father dwell in my soul and body, filling every corner of my heart with light and grace. Let no deed of darkness overtake me; and let thy blessing, most blessed God, be upon me for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
