Leader Bio:
A native North Carolinian, Dr. Jeffrey Sholar has an eclectic religious background. He is Pentecostal by birth and Baptist by choice. Jeffrey has been on the mission field in three countries and nine states. With tenures as youth minister, missionary, and pastor he brings numerous life experiences to the pastorate. Cedar Falls extended the call to be pastor on January 15, 2012 and Jeffrey began serving in March.
He attended James Sprunt Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in Plant and Animal Science in May of 1998. Jeffrey is a three time graduate of Campbell University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Christian Ministries in May of 2005, a Master of Divinity in May of 2009, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in May of 2017. He is currently serving on the Board of Ministers at Campbell University.
Jeffrey and his wife Amanda have two children, a daughter Isabella and a son Wells. He enjoys spending time with his family, surf fishing, and sports.
“I have a heart for ministry and am learning how to define it. I look forward to walking with God’s people and helping them discern His will for their lives and empowering each one to accomplish it. I am excited to know God has called me here to grow with the people found at Cedar Falls Baptist Church. I encourage you to come and experience the fellowship of CFBC.”

Under 12s:
Sunday Programs
Activities are centered on scripture and the biblical stories, helping children become more comfortable with the bible, and gaining an understanding about the Old and New Testament.
Sunday School (9:45am-10:45am): a time for children to study the bible through learning the different stories. They have the opportunity to participate in activities and crafts that help to reinforce the story and theme of the morning. Sunday School is broken into groups based on age:
PreK - Kindergarten (Ages 4 and up)
1st grade - 2nd grade
3rd grade, 4th grade
5th grade, 6th grade
All children’s Sunday School classrooms are located on the Children’s Sunday School wing.

This program takes place during the 11am worship hour and is open to children 4 years old- 2nd grade. During this time the children learn a story and each week have a different interactive station that helps to reiterate the story.
