Who we are
We are a Chinese Christian Evangelical Mission Church situated in the beautiful city of Cape Town. We have worship services every week Sunday once a week. We have Fellowships, biblestudies, Sunday school, choir practices , outings or conferences. The service is in Chinese but if there are English speaking or foreigners, translation will be accommodated

Evangelist Luke:
November 1995 - Gospel Ministry Started:
The mission work started in March, 1995. The focus was in Cape Town and mainly to reach out to the Chinese sailors in the Cape Town harbor and the local Chinese.
In November, 1995, Rev. Yang went to South Africa for a survey and discovered that there were many Chinese in that area. There was no Chinese church there. Rev. Yang came to know sister Wu, who open her home for Bible study. They realized that by sharing among Hong Kong and Singapore to help, but no response. So, when Rev.Yang went there, the timing was just right.
1995年三月開始南非宣教事工:
重點集中於開普敦，主要傳福音對象為當地華人及常停靠開普敦海港的中國船員們。1955年11月楊摩西牧師去南非考察，發現沿海地區有不少華人聚集，卻沒有教會。經弟兄姐妹介紹，楊牧師認識了伍沈梅芳姐妹，她經常開放自宅供大家查經；但深感大家的分享無法充分供應靈糧。雖曾嘗試在台灣、香港及新加坡等地發出呼聲，卻終未見回應，因此楊牧師的到來正是時候
February 1996 - Church Establishment:
Rev. Yang sent seminary students to start the ministry there in February, 1996, and the CEC in Cape Town was established. Seminary students were sent there to pastor the church in July,2000. After that, many pastors and evangelists went to assist in the church ministry. From February 9-21, 2006, Rev. Yang led a mission tour composed of CEC church members from U.S. East Coast and CEC in Europe to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the church. Later on two other seminary students went there and started their internship at the church in 2006. One of the seminary student was transferred to another church because of the need of another church. Another student came to pastor the church but due to the visa about to expire, in August, 2009, he went back to China. The other student came to to serve. Praise God that God gave her strength to bear this responsibility.

1996年2月，楊摩西牧師派神學生至開普敦開展事工，並於南非開普敦 (Cape Town) 成立「開普敦基督教生命堂」。
自國際福音佈道神學院畢業的神学是於2000年7月開始在南非開普敦生命堂服事；後又有多位牧者及傳道前往協助。2006年2月9-21日，楊摩西牧師率美東區生命堂數位弟兄姐妹前往開普敦，在當地會合歐洲生命堂的一些弟兄姐妹後，展開全程13日「開普敦生命堂十週年慶暨宣教旅遊」。總會神學再一次派两位神学生也於2006年開普敦生命堂十週年慶時去到南非，開始了她們的實習傳道之路。2007年8月總部因事工的需要，調回了一位学生；於2007年8月另差派神學生王濤前往協助南非事工。2009年8月一位传道因南非簽證到期，需要離開南非回國服事。只有一位传道接下所有服事。感謝主賜她力量挑起重責。
September, 2012- Church Dedication：
Rev.Yang went to Cape Town to celebrate the church’s 15th anniversary in March,2011. They had decided to buy a property and after six months of renovations, the CEC in Cape Town had their Church Dedication Service on September 16,2012. The church members were very excited and delighted to have their own church building. In August 2014, The Evangelist went to study at the American Seminary. The Church in cape town’s ministry was handled by many Evangelists as they ask the Lord to grant them blessing,and the ability to bless the gathering of brothers and sisters to unite in purpose of prospering the gospel!

2011年3月總監督楊牧師去到南非參加十五週年慶，感謝主帶領，當時就決定購新堂，經過近半年裝修及整理，於2012年9月16日正式舉行獻堂。南非弟兄姐妹們非常開心終於有了自己的家了！2014年8月一位傳道人要到美國神學院讀書，開普敦生命堂交給了许多傳道人服事。求主憐憫，賜他们能力和賜福聚弟兄姐妹同心合意興旺福音！

Dear God, help my unbelief. When I'm in pain, I forget that you care about me. I forget that you have helped me through my trials. I forget that you hold me in your arms to keep me safe. I forget that you are feeling my pain with me. I forget that you love me, I forget that I am important to you. Show me your presence - let me feel your enveloping love. Heal my hurting soul.
