Who we are
Christ Church Westshore’s vision is to be a center of learning, compassion for others, and families. We desire to be faithful followers of Jesus as we:
Worship with one another, hearing God’s word and sharing in His sacraments. Build relationships with one another through informal social gatherings and Bible studies. Pray for one another and the world. Support one another through life’s difficult times and circumstances. Raise our children and nurture our families in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
The essential truths of our denomination, The Anglican Church in North America, are contained in the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion and the historic creeds of the church (Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed and the Creed of St. Athanasius).
To meet us and see what we are about, we invite you to visit us on a Sunday morning, join us in worship and meet our ministers.
Sunday Services are held at 8:00 a.m. (Communion), 9:30 a.m. (Communion) and 11:00 a.m. (Morning Prayer; Holy Communion is celebrated at this service on the first Sunday of each month and on feast days) at Anchor Church, 32607 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, OH 44012.
Christ Church Westshore is a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes (ADGL) and the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Christ Church Westshore Service Times
Sunday 8:00 a.m. Service
At 8:00 a.m. every Sunday we celebrate Holy Communion. The service is contemplative and intimate, with a cappella hymns and a more formal liturgical feel. All baptized Christian believers are welcome to receive communion at the Lord’s Table at Christ Church.
Sunday 9:30 a.m. Service
Our 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion service is more dynamic and incorporates more music, both traditional and modern.
Parents are encouraged to have their children with them during the service, although Nursery care is offered for infants through age 5 during the entire service. From September through May children in grades K-4 start in Kid’s Catechism (“KidCat”) where they are introduced to our ancestors in faith and learn their stories, and develop an understanding of basic Christian beliefs. They join the adults in the service for Communion.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. Service
At 11:00 a.m. we offer Morning Prayer, with Communion celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and feast days. This service is the least formal of the three services and a good introduction to a liturgical form of worship. Nursery care is offered for infants through age 5. After worshiping at the 9:30 a.m. service, middle school kids (H2H) and high school students meet downstairs for their time of study and fellowship.
Wednesday 10:30 a.m. Service
Our Holy Communion service on Wednesday mornings is held in Auburn Hall at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Road, Bay Village, Ohio. The service is similar to Sunday’s 8:00 a.m. service, with a teaching and discussion of the scripture readings in place of a formal sermon .

Open our ears to hear
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
