Who we are
Core Values
Our mission at Christian Church in the Wildwood is to go, make, baptize and teach in the name of Jesus (Matt. 28:18 – 20). As we follow this mission plan, we also are being shaped to live more like the one that we follow. Core Values are behaviors that we see Jesus and His followers living in the New Testament. They are behaviors that we too must live, teach and celebrate in order to be the community that God designed us to be. CCW has recognized five Core Values:
Biblical Truth
Making Gods Word our Guide
The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16 – 17). At a personal level, the Core value of Biblical truth means all of our thoughts and actions are filtered through the God-given lens of the Bible. As a Kingdom community, this value means that all our teaching and ministry correspond with the principles outlined in the Scripture.
Inspired Worship
Putting God First
When asked what the greatest law in the Old Testament was, Jesus responded with – ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind (Luke 10:27).’ Recognizing Gods position in our life and giving Him the honor that He is due is at the heart of worship. As a Kingdom community, Inspired Worship means that God, His Son and His Spirit are at the center of all that we do.
Selfless Service
Sacrificing Like Jesus
Jesus exemplified humility and put our ultimate need, a right relationship with God, ahead of His own life (Phil. 2:3 – 11). As we follow Jesus, we too are called to live a life that puts others ahead of our own wants and desires. As a Kingdom community, this means recognizing our world and our communities needs and finding ways to solve those needs through Christ.
Real Relationships
Loving Others Like Jesus
According to Jesus, next to loving God, loving others is the essential ingredient to living out Gods plan (Mark 12:31). As a Kingdom community, this means that we have relationships that are authentic, transparent and life-changing. We are designed to build one another up (1 Thes. 5:11) as we move toward eternity together.
Spirit-Led Living
Surrendering to the Spirit
The Holy Spirit of God has made His home in the lives of all those who have recognized Jesus as Lord (Acts 2:38). The Spirit is not a passive passenger but is working both in us and through us – in us to transform us to the image of Christ and through us to complete Jesus’ mission in the world. As a Kingdom community, living the Core Value of Spirit-Led Living means that we are giving the Spirit room to work and following where He leads.

Christian Church in the Wildwood History
Abide in my heart
Come, Lord Jesus, and abide in my heart. How grateful I am to realize that the answer to my prayer does not depend on me at all. As I quietly abide in You and let Your life flow into me, what freedom it is to know that the Father does not see my threadbare patience or insufficient trust, rather only Your patience, Lord, and Your confidence that the Father has everything in hand. In Your faith I thank You right now for a more glorious answer to my prayer than I can imagine. Amen.
