Who we are
The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede is an ecumenical family in the Silver Heights neighbourhood of Winnipeg. We are a proud community of Anglicans and Lutherans. In 2015 we celebrated 60 years of ministry in the neighbourhood and beyond. Through the years, the two denominations have enjoyed a shared mission that led to the formation of the Waterloo Declaration, resulting in full communion between the Anglican church of Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
St. Stephen and St. Bede continues to offer leadership to the wider church and welcomes newcomers of all ages. Sunday worship is contemporary with a blend of Anglican and Lutheran and features a regular contemporary service. For most of the year, the liturgy for each worship service is projected on Powerpoint slides.
MISSION STATEMENT
We are a welcoming community uniquely united and open to all seeking a relationship with God in Christ Jesus.

Grant us grace
0 Lord our God, grant us grace to desire Thee with our whole heart; that, so desiring, we may seek, and seeking find Thee; and so finding Thee may love Thee; and loving Thee, may hate those sins from which Thou hast redeemed us.
