Who we are

The Church of the Epiphany is a relatively young Anglican Church, established in 1997 when the parishes of St. Paul’s, Overbrook and St. Christopher’s, Beacon Hill South, voted to amalgamate and form a new community.

Both St. Paul’s and St Christopher’s sold their respective buildings and on November 1, 2000, the new church building on Ogilvie Road and the Aviation Parkway, was dedicated by the then Bishop of Ottawa, The Right Reverend Peter Coffin.

The building was designed by George Nichol and built by Margard Builders Ltd. The worship space was designed to have the altar in the centre with the congregation gathered around in a horse shoe configuration. At the entrance of the worship space and at the mouth of the horse shoe, is the cruciform shaped immersion baptismal font, which is a prominent feature of Epiphany Church.
