Who we are
Our Story
In 1997, a group of people decided to take a leap of faith and start a new congregation in West Mobile. Finding a temporary meeting place on Cody Road, the church was officially launched. Borrowing from Luke 1:77-79, this new congregation took on the name Dayspring.
Today, Dayspring meets on their own 30-acre campus at 2200 Cody Road S in Mobile. The dreams of that early cluster of believers is alive and well as the people of Dayspring actively spread hope and light across their region and beyond.
Our Mission
After his resurrection, Jesus made it clear that his followers were now the agents of the same exact mission on which he had been sent (see John 20:21). Jesus went on to explain to them that their participation in this mission would have no boundaries (see Acts 1:8).
Therefore, we understand our mission to be such: To make sure that every man, woman, and child has repeated opportunities to see and hear the Gospel.
The realization of this mission will require geographical intentionality, coordination and cooperation between congregations, and the participation and resources of every person who belongs to the body of Christ.

KIDS Dayspring
1st – 5th Grade
Where kids hang out on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
SUNDAYS
9:00 and 10:30 am
On Sundays, kids experience small group time with peers and an incredible Small Group Leader who brings the Bible story to life. Kids also attend a large group experience with skits, upbeat kid-style worship, and a bite-sized, interactive story from the Bible. Each month we focus on one major biblical character quality, with one basic truth to learn each week.
WEDNESDAYS
6:15-7:30 pm
On Wednesdays, kids have a blast praising God at “Creative Kids.” Here, kids learn worship songs and dance moves that they’ll present for family and friends in our annual Spring Musical. After they practice, kids enjoy a loud, energetic time to play large group games. We top it off with a special quiet moment where kids gather in small groups, where adult leaders encourage them and pray over them.

Students
The Shack
Grades 6-12
The Shack is our Student Center where students hang out on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Our goal is to fuel a passion for God in the heart of teenagers. We hope that when students leave this stage of life, they have a lasting understanding that:
I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my Creator.
I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what He says.
I exist every day to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.
Sundays
Small group Bible studies
Middle Schoolers meet at 10:30am for a large group hang-out time in the Shack. Then students are sent to small groups divided by age and gender.
High Schoolers meet at 9:00am for a large group hang-out time in the Shack. Then students are sent to small groups divided by grade and gender.
Wednesdays
Our student (6th-12th) worship service begins at 6:15pm in The Shack. This service features a message geared toward students alongside a time of worship designed to point students toward Jesus. Student-led small groups follow each message to help them press the truth deep into their lives. The service will end by 7:30pm.
The Shack
The Shack is our student center and is located on the left side of the main building. It is equipped with foosball, pool table, ping-pong table, climbing wall, basketball court, volleyball court, and a café.

Open our ears.
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
