Who we are
Our mission is to:
Seek The Holy through Anglican worship;
Be a community of love and acceptance of all of God's children;
Make disciples who spread God's Word;
Grow our parish in love and service; and
Serve our communities with our gifts.
Our building is located on 30th Street, between Broadway, (which is also known as Route 4), and Rosalie Street in Fair Lawn. (Google Maps doesn't like the 'dash' in our mailing address of 1-36 30th Street, so please look for the intersection of 30th Street and Rosalie Street, across from Warren Point Elementary School, behind Jack Daniels' Kia dealership.)
Our Sunday morning worship starts at 9am and is normally Holy Communion. During the seasons of Advent and Lent, our morning service is Morning Prayer & Communion.
On the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2pm we offer a ½ hour long service called Jesus Loves Me - a communion service for families with Special Needs. This is designed especially for those individuals with developmental disabilities & their families on the 2nd Sunday of each month. N.B. While we welcome everyone, our building is not yet accessible to those with mobility challenges. We do have two chair lifts to help negotiate our stairs.
On the 1st, 3rd, and last Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion with the residents and staff at Maple Glen Nursing Home in Fair Lawn, Bristol Manor Nursing Home in Rochelle Park, and The Maywood Center for Health in Maywood, respectively.
On the 3rd Sunday of each month, and every Sunday in Advent & Lent, we have a hour long service of Taizé Prayers at 7pm, following the model of the Brothers of Taizé (www.Taize.Fr/en) .
Church School is at 9am on Sundays from September through June.
Our Womens' Book Group meets weekly on Tuesday at 12:30pm for an hour. Bring a bite of lunch; the books are passed out each week, picking up from where they left off, and stoping for conversation, at the Spirit moves them. (Sorry, guys. This is for women only.)
Thursday evenings at 7:30 is when our Adult Study takes place.
12-Step Programs meeting at Atonement include Gambler's Anonymous (GA) and Gam-Anon:
Gambeler's Anonymous, Tuesday 7-8:30pm (Closed Meeting)
Gambeler's Anonymous, Wednesday 8-10pm (Closed Meeting)
Gambeler's Anonymous, Friday 8-10pm (Closed Meeting)
Gam-Anon, Friday 8-10pm
