Who we are
EMUCs Core Values
Our four core strengths are:
Living Spiritually Connection and Friendship Helping Others, and Openness to All.
‘Living Spiritually’
includes worship, the message each Sunday, the uplifting music and spiritual practices throughout the week. All these things help to strengthen, nourish and enrich the personal spirituality of those who attend EMUC. This is what people count on in good times and, especially, in challenging times, in their daily lives.
‘Connection and Friendship’
creates a sense off belonging which is important for all. Various groups bring people together who share interests and a feeling of being part of a church family. It is a safe place for people to be to learn and develop and to support and care for one another.
‘Helping Others’
is a strength of the EMUC congregation. Many activities support community activities. Serving and giving by our generous volunteers is driven by feelings of empathy, nurturing, advocating and being part of something bigger than ourselves.
‘Openness to All’
is the effort to create a safe place for everyone. It is acceptance and inclusion of diverse groups. It is working for justice, equality, fairness and accessibility. We strive to create a caring, non-judgemental environment.

Help me pray
Grant that I may not pray alone with the mouth; help me that I may pray from the depths of my heart.
