Our Mission
First Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing church. Our teaching and preaching is firmly focused on the Word of God.
Our mission is two-fold; local and world-wide evangelism through the preaching and teaching of the Scriptures and to teach men, women, boys and girls that Jesus Christ is the "Way, the Truth and the Life" ...John 14:6.

Sermons:
The presentation of biblical truth is the central theme of each sermon with practical application for daily living. Morning and evening services offer different sermons.
Music
A blend of traditional hymns and gospel songs.
Fellowship of believers
Challenge one another to learn and grow in God’s Word and be encouraged.
Childcare
Supervised staffed nursery available during all services. For parents who wish to keep their infants with them, audio provision is available in the Fireside Room.
Classes
Sunday School classes available for all ages from toddlers to adults. Children's Church offered during the 10:45 a.m. Morning Church Service.

Leader Bio:
Under the able ministry of Pastor Gordon, First Baptist Church of Hartford has been uniquely blessed by having a number of former members enter various areas of the Christian ministry. Many are serving across the globe as pastors, missionaries, Christian school teachers, youth pastors, and other church related ministries. Pastor Gordon accepted the call to serve as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hartford in May of 1974.

We are a welcoming body of believers made up of different ages and backgrounds. Our services consist of uplifting gospel songs, hymn music and Biblical preaching from God's Word. Our goal is to honor and glorify God and to reflect the truths in God's Word to all the world. We strive to instill a passion for God's glory in His church through the proclamation of His life-changing Word, the Holy Bible. Eph 3:21
Child care is available at all services with age appropriate activities for all children.
