Who we are
Grace Community Church began as a newly replanted congregation of GCI Canada in Cornwall on September 4, 2005. Having become able to purchase our own building on April 1, 2005, the members worked toward refocusing our church for more effective evangelism in the Cornwall community. At the same time, the congregation wanted a name for the church that would reflect what we saw as the most important mission for this congregation in the eastern Ontario city of Cornwall. The name chosen, Grace Community Church, reflects the understanding of the central position, and need, of grace and assurance. Community reflects both the desires to be a strong Christian community and to be a great citizen of the central area of the city of Cornwall in which the church is located. Church reflects the understanding of what Jesus founded and what is to remain until his Second Coming. As well, it reflects the reality of being a gathered group with a focus on Jesus, who we understand to be the head of our church.
Ours is a small, but warm, congregation offering a place to be loved and cared for. We value individuals for who they are and can be in Christ. We value focusing on one another, for which reason we have time for conversation and refreshments following each service. We value learning how God is at work in each person which has led to the establishing of a regular prayer group. We value caring for others, leading us to be actively involved in Operation Christmas Child each year.
If you're looking for a caring church, soundly rooted in scripture, please join us Sunday at 10:30 am. Come as you are, but don't expect that you'll leave exactly that way, as we expect Jesus will impact you in at least some small way. We expect you'll leave encouraged and feeling more confident for the week that will stretch ahead of you!

Put me to what You will
Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.
