Who we are
Grace United Methodist Church, a community of hope for all people, is committed to being a community-based church with an appeal that goes beyond the physical structure.
We are a diverse people seeking to deepen and share our faith:
– through worship, education, fellowship, and service opportunities that strengthen our Christian discipleship.
– by making disciples of Jesus Christ through the establishment of a compassionate community based on relationships across lines that often divide us.
– by meeting the needs of current members, as well as attracting others to become part of a caring, growing faith community.
Grace UM Church has been known over the years for its strong welcoming ministry, mission outreach, musical offerings, and food banks. Located at Ogontz Avenue at 71st Avenue (We are nestled just to the East of the intersection on 20th Street). Our presence has long been a landmark in the West Oak Lane Section of Philadelphia, Pa.
Our Mission is to be Disciples of Jesus Christ, to go into the world to preach, teach, and to nurture persons to also become Disciples of Jesus Christ. Our arms are open to reach out to our community and our world.
