Who we are
HMC (Hilo Missionary Church) has been in existence for over 50 years and has been at its current location for over 40 years. We are committed to make HMC a true `ohana; a place where deep friendships develop and people can truly feel like a part of a family. We teach our members to have a firm foundation in the Bible and a living and personal relationship with their God through Jesus Christ. We are a solid, Bible believing church that also believes that the “gifts of the Spirit” are for today. We believe that the God of the Old Testament and the New Testament, the God of miracles, signs and wonders, is still alive and well today. We are committed to raise our children and teens well as they are the next generation and to train them to serve their God, parents, families, communities and church well.

Our Children's Church teachers are not just doing their "time" or filling their slot as a parent. Our Children's Church teachers know that teaching children about Jesus is vitally important and that teaching children is their gifting and calling. Look around our Children's Church and you will see the love, care and dedication to your children. Your children will not be just babysat so you can go to church, they are being intentionally taught about God. We believe this is so important because most people who accept Jesus have accepted Him as children.![Edit]()
