Who we are
Johns Creek United Methodist Church aims to create a community of faith that invites our neighbors into a deepening relationship with God, each other, and the world.
Vision:
To create a community of faith that invites our neighbors into a deepening relationship with God, each other, and the world.
Mission:
The mission of Johns Creek United Methodist Church, consistent with the mission of its denomination, is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Johns Creek UMC organizes its disciple-making work around three strategic ministry areas:
Gathering a diverse community for worship and Christian fellowship; Growing persons into disciples of Jesus who reflect, serve, and embody his life and witness; and Going into the world at the command of Jesus, who empowers us by his Spirit for service, sacrifice, and love to, for, and with the world he is reconciling to his Father.
These three strategic ministry priorities are more than organizational placeholders; they represent the natural rhythms of life within the Church and serve to define the contours of our work within the broader Johns Creek community. If world-transforming disciple-making is what we do, then gathering, growing, and going is how we do it.
Consistent with our mission, Johns Creek UMC aims to transform the world through our disciple-making work. Since Jesus’ world-transforming work in the Gospels was always local, we believe that, as the church, our greatest contribution to the world will be a people who are deeply committed to the ways of Jesus within their local community as a witness to the world of the redeeming triumph of Jesus’ love.

Forgive us
O God, forgive the poverty and the pettiness of our prayers . Listen not to our words but to the yearnings of our hearts. Hear beneath our petitions the crying of our need.
