JOURNEY’S VISION

2020 Vision | The Movement

The church is not an institution or a building. It is a big movement with a big message that holds extraordinary power. The call of God for the church is to lend momentum to the vision and mission He’s laid on our hearts. We will not bail on the mission, no matter how tough it gets. God has given us a vision — to love a city — to stir a holy discontent with the way things are — to activate an imagination and generate an undying passion for the way things could be — to mobilize an army for God who will change the world. THIS … is our vision for 2020. WE WILL BE AN AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY INVOLVED IN PASSIONATE WORSHIP, PARTNERING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP PEOPLE BELONG, BELIEVE & BECOME WHAT GOD HAS CALLED THEM TO BE.

We will provide opportunities and steps for people to get into groups so that 75% of us are doing life together.

We will equip families with weekly materials so that 75% are engaged doing ‘Faith At Home,’ Biblically leading their own families and learning to feed themselves.

We will pray hard and preach the Gospel with great conviction to see 6,000 people come to faith in Christ and 3,000 people baptized in water.

We will tell 500 stories of deep life change and disciple transformation in every setting possible.

We will pray for an attendance of worshippers totaling 5,000 on the weekend at all campuses.

We will complete the Heart Of The House renovations for the glory of the Kingdom.

WE WILL EXIST TO BE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS, ENGAGING IN A REVOLUTION OF ENTHUSIASTIC SERVICE.

We will serve without regard for others’ lifestyles, values or belief systems — becoming known as a ‘hub’ for hurting and under-resourced people, serving 40,000 people with the love of Christ.

We will create a “SERVOLUTION” DNA so that 75% of us are involved in selfless acts of service, both on and off campus.

We will send out men and women to assist 365 widows, elderly, single moms and people in need.

We will equip and graduate 60 Journey Ministry College students and see at least 48 of them placed in full-time service for the Kingdom.

WE WILL PUT INTO MOTION NEW LEVELS OF OFFERING HOPE TO SEE JESUS’ NAME SPREAD EVERYWHERE.

We will put unprecedented focus on the 10/40 Window, funneling 1/2 of our missionary funds and efforts there.

We will give with personal sacrifice and joy, asking God to help us give one million dollars to missions.

We will ask God to open doors for us to be a five-campus, multi-site church, reproducing Journey Church to the North, South, East and West.

We will elevate the value of compassion, encouraging and equipping 200 families to be involved in adoption, foster care, respite care and as Safe Families.

We will raise awareness of and involvement in labor and sex trafficking prevention to uncommon levels, exploring the potential for a Dream Center in our geographical circle of influence.

We will fully support the ministry of Christian Life School to see 900 students on campus and an expanded facility for classroom / gymnasium space.
