Elder Mary Alice Collier has been member of New Beginning Deliverance Ministries, Inc. of Miami, Fl. for 44 years and has served in various capacities: Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary, Evangelist, Teacher, Associate Pastor, and for the past six years, pastor.
Elder Collier is a native of Belle Glade, Florida, where she received her formal education at Lake Shore Elementary School and Lake Shore Jr. –Sr. High School. She is married to Brother Glenn Collier, Sr. They have a blended family of seven children, twenty-eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
During her formative years, she received a foundation in Christian ethics and virtues through the godly example of her mother, the late Pastor Eula Mae James. The training she received at New Bethel Baptist Church in Belle Glade, Florida under the leadership of the late Rev. O.D. Williams strengthened this experience.
Elder Collier gave her life to the Lord May 3, 1975 through Overseer Maggie Norwood and Elder Vera Jordan. Later she received ministerial training from Bethel’s Minister’s School in Carol City, Florida, under the direction of Bishop Benjamin F. Carter, Sr. and graduated in 1985.
In 2017, the Lord used Elder Collier to conduct All Night Prayer and Teaching at various churches in Miami-Dade county and Palm Beach County.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida in 1978 and further certifications from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida in 1998.
She has held teaching positions at East Lake Middle School in Pahokee, Florida, and several schools in Miami-Dade County.
In 2007, she was chosen Teacher of the Year by her peers and placed on the nation’s honor roll as one of America’s Outstanding Teachers in 2005/2006.
She retired from the Miami Dade County Schools in 2009 but continues to teach the Word of God and enjoy the Lord, family, and friends. Â
