New Beginnings Ministries (NBM) was launched in 2000 in a small storefront office by Pastor Tim Baylor. In Summer 2009 we were blessed with the opportunity to merge with Gospel Lighthouse Church and continued under the New Beginnings Ministries name.
We are currently in a “new beginning” at NBM! Pastor Tim retired and relocated to Arkansas in the Spring of 2022. At that time, Pastor Renee Hillis came in as full time pastor. We are recovering, rebuilding and restoring after being hit hard by both Hurricane Harvey and COVID, but we believe great things are in our future.
Our current service times are Sundays at 10 am and Wednesday Bible Study at 7 pm.. We operate the Food Pantry Ministry for residents of Aransas County with distribution on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Our Women’s Ministry is active with Bible study, fellowships, and activities.
We also have Family Breakfast for all of the NBM family on the last Saturday of the month. Children are warmly welcomed into our family integrated services. Currently we all “come to the table” together and kid segments are included in the adult worship service. We do expect to see the establishment of Children’s Ministries, Student Ministries, and Men’s Ministries in the future as God leads us in our “new beginning” at NBM.
In all of this our desire is to serve the community, build the excellence of Christ in ourselves and the Kingdom of God, and love our neighbors as ourselves. We’d love for you to be a permanent part of these endeavors if you feel led to be a part of the NBM family.
