Leader Bio:
Dr. Dennis McCain is married to Mrs. Kathy McCain. They have been married more than 45 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children: Jennifer Patrice (San Antonio, TX) and Kevin Maurice (Tacoma, WA); and five grandchildren: Darien, Josalynn, Kevin II, Ruth, and Kayden. Dr. McCain was born in North Carolina on August 14, 1950 and moved to Washington State in 1970 with the U.S. Army.
Dr. McCain was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration for 34 years (1972 – 2006). During his career, he spent 24 years in the Human Resources Field and served as the Regional Civil Rights Manager, Northwest Mountain Region, for 10 years. He received numerous awards and citations for his outstanding years of service including a U.S. Flag which was flown over the White House in his honor.
In the community, Dr. McCain has served as President, Safehaven Development Association, a non-profit organization since 1992 providing low-income housing and social services to the Greater Tacoma community. In the church, Dr. McCain served as Assistant Pastor for eight years (2006 – 2013) under the dynamic leadership of Bishop T.L. Westbrook, Founder of the New Jerusalem Church Of God In Christ (C.O.G.I.C.).

Dr. McCain served as Adjunct Professor at Northwest University, Kirkland, WA from 2000 – 2013. He taught numerous courses in the Schools of Business and of Ministry. He has served as Superintendent of State Sunday School Department, WA State Jurisdiction (C.O.G.I.C.) since 1992. In addition, he serves as a Christian Education Consultant to churches throughout the Northwest.
