Leader Bio:
Born and raised in Addison, MI, he graduated from Addison HS in 1981. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1989 with a BA in Bible and a minor in Ministerial Counseling. He has been in vocational pastoral ministry since January of 1991, and married to Roberta since 1984. She is also a TTU graduate with a Diploma in Christian Ministry. Their three children, son-in-law and grand child attend New Life Baptist Church. Joy and her husband Sean have recently welcomed a daughter, Emmalyn.
Quincy and Kalie are involved in many activities at their school. Matthew is currently taking classes at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, working towards a Master of Divinity (MDiv.), with plans to complete his degree by the time he turns 62, and Roberta (“Bert”) attends classes with him and is always very involved in church ministry. He has pastored in the Addison area 22 years and has been at his current church since 1997. They reside at Willow Lake, Addison, just 2 miles from the church. Pastor Matt enjoys being around people of all ages and loves the work of shepherding/feeding God’s flock. He lives to one day hear his Father say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

The way, the truth, and the life
Lord Jesus, thou who art the way, the truth, and the life; hear us as we pray for the truth that shall make all free. Teach us that liberty is not only to be loved but also to be lived. Liberty is too precious a thing to be buried in books. It costs too much to be hoarded. Help us see that our liberty is not the right to do as we please, but the opportunity to please to do what is right.
