Who we are
We are a multi-ethnic Catholic faith community, consisting of long-time, new, and migrant parishioners, who may worship in English, Italian and Spanish.
The Holy Eucharist is the centre of our parish life and the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Sorrows, is our Patroness.
Our parish mission is to journey together towards unity, a deeper faith formation and evangelization.
The Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo or Scalabrinian Missionaries (abbr.: C.S.) are a Roman Catholic religious institute of brothers and priests founded by Giovanni Battista Scalabrini, Bishop of Piacenza in Italy, in 1887. Its mission is to “maintain Catholic faith and practice among Italian emigrants in the New World.” Today, they and their sister organizations, the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo (founded by Scalabrini on 25 October 1895) and Secular Institute of the Scalabrinian Missionary Women (founded 25 July 1961) minister to migrants, refugees and displaced persons.
The Teresian Carmelite Missionaries are a congregation founded in 1860, Ciudadela (Minorca), the Congregation of Teresian Carmelite Missionaries got the diocesan approval in 1872, the diocesan canonical approval 1880 and pontificates in 1902.
Their specific charism is “contemplating, express and proclaim the beauty of the Church, mystery of communion “.
With their eyes fixed upon the Son of god as head of His Church, united in deeply felt communion with the Church, ever living the relationship with the Father and the Son in relation with the Church (cf. MR. 135), raising through Mary the flames of thier love towards the Church (cf. MR. 322), the Teresian Carmelite Missionaries (CMT) have been recrreating the Palautian charisma aware that they are missionaries of the Church. Today we are present in 23 countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia. We live in apostolic fraterneties, our life style is one of simplicity, openness, and we contemplate a world of brothers and sisters whom we love and seve as the Church of neighbours.

Our Lady of Sorrows History
Love me, Lord, just for today
Lord, for tomorrow and its needs, I do not pray; Keep me, my God, from stain of sin just for today. Let me both diligently work, And duly pray. Let me be kind in word and deed, Just for today. Let me be slow to do my will, Prompt to obey; Help me to sacrifice myself Just for today. And if today my tide of life should ebb away, Give me thy sacraments divine, Sweet Lord today. So for tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, But keep me, guide me, love me, Lord, Just for today.
