Our Mission
Growing God’s Family by Helping People Take Their Next Step with Jesus Christ
We are seeking to meet and accept people where they are in their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ and enfold them into the family of God. It is our belief that every person has a “next step” to take in their walk with God. This includes those who were born and raised in the church, those who have become disconnected with God, and those who have never been involved with the Christian church.
Our church seeks to be a place that everyone will be encouraged and equipped to take their next step through worship, fellowship with believers, and discipleship.
This journey will bear fruit in that each of us will be equipped to fulfill God’s plan in our lives. Whether that be reaching out to a neighbor or traveling to a new place, we will support each other as we progress down this path.

Leader Bio:
Pastor Harv Roosma grew up in Washington State, and moved to Michigan to attend Calvin College where he earned his degree in education. He taught in a Christian elementary school for 6 years, and then earned his masters degree in administration. He then was a principal and Jr. High teacher for 3 years.
It was during those 3 years that he was asked to preach in local churches and obtained his license to exhort in the Christian Reformed Church. Hearing the call from God to go into full time Christian ministry as a pastor, Harv enrolled in Calvin Theological Seminary.
During his first year of seminary Harv met Kathy, who had been widowed with 3 children. Harv and Kathy were soon married. When they were married they added Harv’s Golden Retriever to the family and before long they also added another child. Life was busy and adventuresome for the Roosmas during their seminary training as they did a summer assignment in Washington, and a year internship in Texas.
Pastor Harv’s first call to a church as a full time pastor was to Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada. Harv and his wife, Kathy, and their 4 children moved from Michigan to Canada, where they then lived for 20 years, first in Port Alberni, BC, and then in Victoria BC. During that time Pastor Harv also obtained his Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching from Gordon-Conwell Seminary.
After 20 years in Canada, Harv and Kathy returned to the US, ministering at a church in Minnesota. He then felt called to work as a Specialized Transitional Minster (STM), helping churches work through transitions and challenging situations. Harv’s passion continues to be to help churches see where God is leading, and then to help churches follow God’s direction. Harv loves teaching and learning and finds it a joy to share the truths of God’s living Word with others. Harv came to love Jesus early in life and he loves living in that relationship and sharing the joy of that relationship with others.
Harv and Kathy have 4 married children and 11 grandchildren. They enjoy visiting them in BC, MI, and IN. They spend time traveling and exploring the US and Canada, and have also experienced trips to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Mexico, Iceland, Haiti (Harv) , and Zambia (Kathy).
In their spare time, they enjoy biking, hiking, reading, camping, horseback riding, watching movies, and spending time with kids and grandkids.
