Pastor John has served as the Pastor of River of Life Muncie since 1994 and has served as the Pastor of River of Life Fishers since planting the church in 2007. During the time of Pastor and his wife’s leadership at River of Life, the church has experienced notable growth and enjoyed tremendous success in many areas. Their personal passion and vision for the church is characterized by an unrelenting emphasis on prayer, personal evangelism, and revival.

River of Life Church History
In the 1960’s Richard and Margaret Martin traveled from their home in Indianapolis to start a church in Muncie. With the help of God, they built a thriving soul saving station in Muncie. In 1993 evangelist John Martin, their son, returned home and soon became the Pastor.
As River of Life Muncie grew, Pastor Martin became burdened for the northside of Indy. He began to cast a vision for a new church plant on the northside. As Muncie caught the vision, he and his family planted this satellite campus in 2007. It began with a handful of people in a hotel room. It quickly outgrew one room to another and had to move to a storefront in the Castleton Mall. From one storefront to the next, God began to expand His church.
In 2016 we made a monumental shift from the Castleton Mall to 9030 E 96th St becoming River of Life Fishers! God’s Spirit and direction has caused these churches to thrive, however this is just the beginning. River of Life Muncie and Fishers are set for great growth through loving, growing, serving, and flowing to their cities and the surrounding communities!
