Who we are
Welcome to St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church, located in Woodstock, Georgia, just north of Atlanta! St. Elizabeth’s Orthodox Church is a loving family of Orthodox Christians. We gather together to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the ancient and traditional way preserved by the Holy Orthodox Church.
The teachings of the Orthodox Church, unlike so much in our world today remain unchanged. They are the teachings of Christ and of the Holy Scriptures. They are the teachings which Christ gave to His Apostles. They are the teachings which the Apostles passed on to the first Christians. They have been preserved from generation to generation by the Saints, Bishops, and the Orthodox Faithful continuing unbroken, through our modern times.
Are you searching for something more in your spiritual life? Do you know that God is calling you somewhere but you are unsure where? Come home to the Orthodox Christian Faith. Don’t be afraid to try something different and find the living Christ in your life.
You are welcome to join us at any service and raise your voices in prayer to the Creator of the Universe. Sunday Divine Liturgy begins at 10AM. We are located at 2265 East Cherokee Drive in Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
Our services are all in English. We are part of the American Carpatho Russian Orthodox Diocese under His Grace Bishop Gregory. Our Diocese is under the guidance and protection of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and the authority of His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew.

I want to know Thee
Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there. In Jesus Name, Amen.
