Who we are
We are a church that is seeing God move in a mighty and incredible way! We believe in Jesus Christ and have a vision of seeing people Meeting GOD, Listening to GOD, and Doing what GOD says. We are a multi-generational and multi-cultural church located in El Paso, TX. We also make it easy for people to get connected and involved with each other no matter what the age or background and exist to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance and truth.
Every weekend we gather for our Sunday School Classes @ 9:15 am and Worship @ 10:30 am on Sunday. There are services and classes for your kids during our worship experiences on the weekend and during our Wednesday evening Bible Study @ 6:30 pm.
At Scotsdale, we believe that God cares about the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every person. We also believe God has called and gifted every believer with a unique gift or skill set to use and develop for God’s special service. Further, we believe that every member of this church is called to minister (Eph. 4:11-12). Therefore, we will develop lay leaders who will function effectively in their respective roles of service and, in turn, train and mentor other believers for ministry.

Leader Bio:
When Dwaina and I got married we had no idea that God would call us into vocational ministry. After graduating from college I took my first job as a coach and teacher. Three years into our marriage I began serving our church as their Interim Youth Minister while still coaching and teaching. God started a gentle process of calling me into ministry at that time which led to a six-year tenure in youth ministry. I took my first pastorate in 1991, and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998. I LOVE teaching and preaching God’s Word! Additionally, Dwaina and I have been speaking together to strengthen marriages since 1993. We love working together in this ministry, but we both love ministering to everyone in a local body of Christ as well. God has blessed Dwaina and me with two children who are now young adults. Our son, Tanner, is the oldest, and Hailey is our daughter. On a personal level, in my free time I enjoy playing golf, riding motorcycles, snow skiing, reading, taking day trips, and traveling with Dwaina. I also like to build stuff, but I have to admit that I would rather do this with someone who really knows what they’re doing because I don’t! We are so excited to be a part of Scotsdale Baptist Church, and the ministry that God has for this church in El Paso and beyond.
