Singleton Chapel A. M. E. Church in Georgetown, South Carolina is a Christian congregation serving the Georgetown community and seeking, engaging, and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.
We seek to be a loving, friendly community that worships God, and serves others. We place a high priority on teaching from the Bible and following the example of Jesus.

• Reverend Michelle Frayer, is a 1981 graduate of Lincoln High School in McClellanville, South Carolina.
• After graduating Lincoln, she attended and graduated from the following schools and Universities:
• At Trident Technical College she received the following certificates and degrees:
• In 1994 - obtained an Associates degree in Business & General Business
• In 2000 - obtained a Microcomputer Business Applications Certificate
• In 2003 - obtained an Associates in Arts degree
• At Limestone College she received the following degree:
• In 2005 - obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and General Business from Limestone College and graduated Magna Cum Laude
• At Payne Theological Seminary she received the following degree:
• In 2016 - obtained a Master of Divinity degree from Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio; in addition, she made the Dean’s list for the Spring 2015 semester and was the recipient of the Dr. Jayme Coleman Williams and Dr. McDonald Williams Annual Scholarship in Memory of Rev. F. Douglass Coleman, Sr. She is currently employed at the Medical University of South Carolina in the Engineering & Facilities Management Department as a Trades Specialist V Technician. In September 2016, she was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in the South Carolina Conference and received her certificate from the Rt. Reverend Samuel L. Green Sr. of the Seventh Presiding Bishop Episcopal District. She is the proud wife of Mr. Figgins Frayer, her ministry helpmate. Also, she is extremely proud of two adult children, daughter Mrs. Janae Sharette Mitchell Hale who is currently residing in Baltimore, Maryland with husband Nickolas Hale and her son Justin Deon Mitchell is currently residing in Washington, D.C. with his wife Crystal. Rev. Frayer, declares that as a woman called by God for assistance in His church, her desire is to increase the most excellent training required to instruct, sermonize, worship with and evangelize His people. Further she proclaims that as a woman in ministry her goal and desire is to bring a fresh voice and a fresh vision to the church. For she realizes that there is no greater joy than pursuing what God has called her to do.
• It is her intent, to motivate and search for God with an attitude of permanent and comprehensive worship, thus becoming a replica as accurate as possible to the way of life practiced by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the future years, it is her hope to see preachers come together, of all races completely dedicated to following Christ and evangelizing the Word so that when the body of Christ and unsaved souls alike hear or read the word “Christian” it is a word that is a representative of “not the color of their skin,” but instead the “Content of their Character”.
• As a final point, Rev. Frayer was also, the only Itinerant elder, that was there present on that night, from the original Ministerial staff under the leadership, direction and guidance of the late Rev. Clementa Pinckney that survived the calamity, misfortune and tragedy that ensued and occurred at Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church on June 17, 2015. She along with her husband, Mr. Figgins Frayer, left approximately 15 minutes before a Bible study session began so that she could complete a homework assignment for a seminary class at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio. It is amazing, incredible and marvelous how God has a flawless, impeccable and perfect way of having those whom are called and selected to move through stumbling blocks and hindrances safe and sound.
• Rev. Michelle Frayer, was the First Woman Pastor, at Historic Santee A. M. E. Church in Summerton, S. C.
• Currently, Rev. Michelle Frayer is the First Woman Pastor, at Singleton Chapel A. M. E. Church in North Santee/Georgetown, S. C.
