St Agnes is known as “a country church in the city” because we are a warm, open and friendly community.
Our Mission Statement:
We are a caring community of Christians meeting for worship and spiritual growth. We seek to serve God and share our ministries with our neighbours near and far.
St. Agnes is a thriving Anglican faith community in North Vancouver, BC. We welcome people from all backgrounds, and our church is wheelchair accessible. We are authorized by the Diocese of New Westminster to offer the Blessing of Same Sex Unions.
Founded February 1st 1910, the Christian community of St Agnes is a member of the Anglican Church of Canada and the Diocese of New Westminster.
St Agnes is part of a consortium of Anglican and Lutheran churches in North Vancouver which is committed to working together to share resources and programs to serve God’s mission in the world.

Leader Bio:
Archdeacon Stephen Muir is the Rector (senior minister) of St Agnes. He was ordained a priest of the Anglican Church of Canada in 1997, and has served at St Agnes since May 1, 2011. He was appointed Archdeacon of Capilano as of January 1, 2017.
Stephen grew up in North Vancouver and attended Carson Graham Secondary. He is married to Shannon Muir and they have two adult sons, Adam and Jacob.
In 2017 Stephen earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from the University of Toronto.
Stephen is an avid amateur drummer and plays with the Deep Cove Big Band and Original Blend. He can also be found playing in the house band at RC Legion Branch 114 in Lynn Valley on the last Sunday afternoon of every month.

Driving Directions to St. Agnes Church
Travel/Direction Tips
The 228 Lynn Valley/Lonsdale Quay bus stops a block from the church at 13th and Grand Boulevard.
Parking
While there is a small parking lot immediately in front of the church, we reserve that for folks who have mobility needs. Usually there is street parking on 12th Street or on Grand Boulevard. There is also a large parking lot next to the park on the north side of 13th at Grand Boulevard.

Abide in my heart
Come, Lord Jesus, and abide in my heart. How grateful I am to realize that the answer to my prayer does not depend on me at all. As I quietly abide in You and let Your life flow into me, what freedom it is to know that the Father does not see my threadbare patience or insufficient trust, rather only Your patience, Lord, and Your confidence that the Father has everything in hand. In Your faith I thank You right now for a more glorious answer to my prayer than I can imagine. Amen.
