St Andrew Service Times

Sunday
Sunday School [Andy's Kids]
Takes place in the parish centre every 3rd, 4th & alternate 5th sunday from 9.50 am. Classes not regular outside term time, especially during the summer holidays. Children start in parish centre and are brought into church after the session in time for holy communion on the 2nd and 5th weeks. On the 3rd Sunday they will be collected by parents from the Parish centre. Parents may stay with children or attend the church service. It is 50p per child to cover costs. On the 2nd Sunday of the month we have the All Generations Service and children and parents are most welcome to join us. The Uniformed Organisations parade with flags and the Guides take on Special responsibilities. On the first Sunday we have Café Church in the Parish centre and all are welcome to join us at this service, which takes the form of a short simple visual service geared towards children as well as adults. We take time out for tea/coffee/juice and toast and a chat before resuming our closing prayers. We have a craft table for the children. Music by Andrew Lord on keyboard and Ken Rees on guitar.

Will take place in the Parish Centre. Service taken by Lay people and served with breakfast. Come along and join us in a relaxed and casual form of worship. Prayers, readings and visual presentation followed by tea, coffee, juice and toast, and closing with prayers. Craft table for children. Music by Andrew Lord on keyboard and Ken Rees on guitar. All welcome.

Every first Sunday at 10:00 AM for ¾ hour
Sunday Services
10 am is the regular new time for our single Eucharist service on the 2nd Sunday, which is the All Generations Service including Church Parade by the Uniformed Organisations with the guides taking on special responsibilities and also on the 4th Sunday and occasionally a 5th Sunday we will have a Eucharist service at 10 am.

Follows Slimming World and is run in conjunction with the Health Advice by Wigan Culture & Leisure Trust. A short session of exercise to compliment the Health and Dietary advice.

Rainbows will now take place in the Parish Centre on Thursdays from 5 pm - 6 pm. Regularly during Term Time.

Women's Fellowship
Meetings take place in the Parish Centre and organised by Barbara Knowles for the more mature lady. Outings, meals, bingo, talks, entertainment, business, prayers, demonstrations and bring & buy. Refreshments served during meetings. Meet on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month except in July & August, when it closes for the summer, starting back in September. All welcome.

July & August closed for summer. Captain = Joan James. Assistants = Carole Hilton, Laura Fenton & Ruth Halliwell.
There is now a Senior Section in the guides for young ladies aged over 14 yrs. This is a separate group and will work apart from the main group, doing written coursework and research.
