About St. Clement Parish at Saint Anne Church

St. Clement Parish at St. Anne Church offers Mass and the Sacraments in the traditional Latin form of the Roman Rite according to the liturgical norms of 1962. Mass is celebrated daily, preceded by the opportunity for confession. All the Sacraments of the Church are available by arrangement with a member of the parish clergy.

St. Clement Parish and the church of St. Anne it now calls home, have marked the history of the Roman Catholic faith in Ottawa and beyond in a unique and remarkable fashion. The story of St. Clement Parish represents an impressive chapter in the history of the endurance and stability of the traditional Latin liturgy within the Roman rite of the Church. It is the oldest Traditional Mass Community in Canada and the first parish in the world to be established after Vatican II to meet the needs of the faithful attached to the former liturgical traditions of the Roman rite.

Quote of the Day
Luke 2:8-11

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."

The power of Christian prayer The way, the truth, and the life
Lord Jesus, thou who art the way, the truth, and the life; hear us as we pray for the truth that shall make all free. Teach us that liberty is not only to be loved but also to be lived. Liberty is too precious a thing to be buried in books. It costs too much to be hoarded. Help us see that our liberty is not the right to do as we please, but the opportunity to please to do what is right.
