Other activities & ministries
Centering Prayer Meditation
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship.
We have a group that meets at the Church most Tuesday`s at 7:00 p.m. for group Centering Prayer. Please contact the church for more information.
Music Ministry
Our music ministry consists of a wide variety of hymns, praise and contemporary music worship. There is something for everyone.
Prayer Chain
The prayer chain is available to members of the St. Columba community and to their families and friends. Our goal is to uphold, strengthen, and encourage others as we pray in faith for God’s will, guidance, healing, and intervention.
The prayer chain members receive the majority of prayer requests via phone, email, or clergy, and send them on to other members of the Prayer Chain Team. At the present time, there are a total of six people on the prayer chain praying for people who have asked us to pray for them, or someone they know.. Prayer requests are confidential, meaning that no one outside the chain is aware of them, unless the Prayer Chain Team is instructed otherwise.
A.C.W. (Anglican Church Women)
The ACW meets monthly to come together in prayer and service. Business meetings are every Second Month and the alternating months are Social gatherings with a focus on fun and fellowship. Activities undertaken in the recent past include assembling Christmas Emmanuel Sacks for the Inner City Pastoral Ministry, Christmas Care Packages for the Y.E.S.S., and knitting/crocheting Prayer Shawls for sick within the Parish.

You are...
You are the shade in the heat, You are shelter in the cold, You are eyes to the blind, You are a staff to the pilgrim, You are an island in the sea, You are a stronghold upon land, You are healing to the sick. You are the luck of every joy, You are the light of the sun's beam, You are the door of lordly welcome, You are the pole star of guidance, You are the step of the roe of the height, You are the step of the white-faced mare, You are the grace of the swimming swan, You are the jewel in each mystery.
