Who we are

St James is a growing, living parish community where all are welcome. We strive, in partnership with other Christian churches, to be the presence of Christ here in Mid Devon.

We belong to the wider family of the Roman Catholic Church in communion with Francis our Pope, within the Diocese of Plymouth under the leadership of Mark our Bishop.

St John’s Catholic Primary School in Tiverton is an integral and important part of our community and mission.

At the heart of our life is the Sunday celebration of the Lord’s Day and his Eucharist, where Jesus feeds us with his Word of life and living Bread, in the Mass.

Our life together and our service of others finds its inspiration and strength in the living presence of the Lord Jesus among us.

St James Parish is linked with the Parish of St Boniface at Cullompton as a single Pastoral Area.
