Who we are
The vision of JC is to be a church where everyone feels welcome as a valued member of the community - we want to be a church for people who are not used to going to church. Our aim is to be a Christian community in the heart of Clerkenwell with a big wide open door, a warm personal welcome and a clear relevant message.
The values of JC are to be a place of Community, Discovery and Engagement:
• Community: we believe all people matter. Therefore we want to be accessible to all people so that together we can know the Christian distinctive of life sharing community.
• Discovery: we believe in that life in its fulness comes from encountering the grace and truth of Christ. Therefore in all we do we want to communicate to everyone the difference it makes knowing Christ in an imaginative, relevant and loving way.
• Engagement: we believe that encountering God renews our mind, shapes our attitudes, empires our hope and transforms our actions. Therefore we want to be a church that doesn't just teach God's truth but then lives out that truth by God's grace day by day.

May your light illuminate our hearts
Eternal God, this holy night is radiant with the brilliance of your one true light. May that light illuminate our hearts and shine in our words and deeds. May the hope, the peace, the joy, and the love represented by the birth in Bethlehem this night fill our lives and become part of all that we say and do. May we share the divine life of your son Jesus Christ, even as he humbled himself to share our humanity. Amen.
