St John the Evangelist Churchdown and Innsworth Service Times

Sunday
Communion (said)
This is a "said" Communion, using a Common Worship Order of Service. On the First Sunday of each month we offer Prayer Ministry in the north porch at the time of Communion.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
Family Eucharist
This May's service has the theme "Putting on our Listening Ears", and is conducted by Revd Jo Wetherall, Children and Families' Officer for the Diocese
Every last Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Parish Eucharist
This service follows the Common Worship pattern, with hymns and sung Gloria etc. On the First and Third Sundays we offer Prayer Ministry in the north porch at the time of Communion. Occasionally there is a Baptism included, to welcome new members of the Christian family. Refreshments are always served, to meet newcomers and old friends alike.
Every first second third and fourth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Communion Service
This is a service mainly for those who are unable to come to church through illness, disability or lack of transport, though everyone is welcome! It's normally on the Third Sunday, with occasional exceptions. Transport can be arranged by contacting the church office.
Every third Sunday at 3:45 PM for ¾ hour
Evensong
A traditional Evensong, with hymns, a psalm and responses. A sermon is usually preached, on the theme of Bible readings for the Sunday. Sometimes we dedicate plaques for the Memorial Garden.
Every first Sunday at 5:00 PM for 50 minutes
Five o'Clock Praise!
On the second Sunday afternoon of the month, we hold an informal worship service. This service is designed to encourage us to study the Bible together, sing worship songs and enjoy new ones, and to pray for each other.
Every second Sunday at 5:00 PM for 1 hour
Tuesday
TOTS - Toddlers on Tuesdays
All pre-school children welcome, with their parents or minders. This event is in our large main hall, nearly every Tuesday during the year. At Christmas, Easter and other special times, we come into the church for an event suitable for this age-group.
Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM for 1½ hours
Wednesday
Weekday communion service
This is a "said" communion service, from Common Worship.
Every second third fourth and fifth Wednesday at 10:00 AM for 40 minutes
Saturday
Craft and Produce Market
For this all-morning event, producers and craftspeople have stalls in our main hall, Coffee and cakes are served in our small hall, where profits go to local good causes.
Every last Saturday at 10:00 AM
