Who we are
St. John's is located at 99 Brock Street just east of Water Street in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The church can be reached from both Brock and Hunter Streets. An elevator connects all levels with the barrier-free entrances from Brock Street. Our washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Saint John the Evangelist is a parish that is part of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto and the world-wide Anglican Communion. The parish church is located in the downtown heart of Peterborough, a city of 78,000 located 125 kilometers northeast of Toronto. Peterborough has a rich history as a manufacturing centre but is transforming into a city dominated by service companies. It is poised for growth as Toronto continually extends its horizons.
With its location atop a hill in the downtown core, St. John's is situated so that it can serve not just the community of Christians who call it home but also the wider community of Peterborough in a variety of ways as a venue for meetings, rehearsals, and other functions.
