Who we are
St Johns Lutheran Church Ballarat - where love comes to life
We're part of a bigger church family, the Lutheran Church of Australia. Together we want to be a place where love comes to life. We believe that God's love is for everyone, everywhere, and we want you to see how his love comes to life in us – and in you.
How do we serve the Ballarat community?
Our pastor is a chaplain at both Ballarat hosptials and will call on anyone who desires a visit.
One member of our Hospital Visiting and Welfare team visits Ballarat’s hospitals each week to provide support, prayer and encouragement to patients who request a visit.
We have worship every Sunday, which is open to all people. In worship we include prayers for our community, country and the world.
We have many groups for you to be part of: Sunday School, Bible Study on a Sunday, Young Adults and Ladies Fellowship groups.
As Lutheran Christians we regard the Bible as the very words of God. The central message of God’s Word is the healing He supplies to the brokenness we each experience because of sin.
God grants us forgiveness and reconciliation through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

You are...
You are the shade in the heat, You are shelter in the cold, You are eyes to the blind, You are a staff to the pilgrim, You are an island in the sea, You are a stronghold upon land, You are healing to the sick. You are the luck of every joy, You are the light of the sun's beam, You are the door of lordly welcome, You are the pole star of guidance, You are the step of the roe of the height, You are the step of the white-faced mare, You are the grace of the swimming swan, You are the jewel in each mystery.
