Yoga class
Led by a highly experienced teacher this class is proving popular amongst local people. We welcome people for a 6 week course at £35 or ad-hoc attendance should you wish to try one session at £7/8.00. Mats provided. Please call Joke (pronounced Yoka) on 01438 820397 to confirm your place. Please note that from October 2013, yoga classes will take place at another, somewhat warmer, location in the village: this is not due to any theological disagreement but simply the exorbitant cost of heating to provide a moderately warm floor. New members still welcome but do contact Joke as above.
Thursday at 5:00 PM for 1 hour
Pet Service
Let your owner bring you along to our popular annual pet service, held in our Ruined church! This short service is open to all pets, who will receive a blessing, and their owners will receive home-made teas FOC after the service. See photos of last year's service elsewhere on the site and on our website.
Sunday 11th September 2016 at 3:00 PM for ¾ hour
Remembrance Service at the Village War memorial (in front of the Ruined Church)
The normal church service in November is replaced by the Remembrance Service at the village War Memorial, followed by coffee in the Brocket Arms. Please note that there will be no service in the main church in November.
Sunday 13th November 2016 at 10:50 AM for ½ hour
Christmas Eve Midnight service
Ayot's Midnight service this year is reverting to the usual start time of 23.30.
Saturday 24th December 2016 at 11:00 PM for 1 hour
Sunday
Matins and Communion
Book of Common Prayer Service. Please check for dates in June as we host an Art Festival in the Church which sometimes requires a date change to the usual 2nd Sunday in the month pattern. For example, in 2013 our service will take place at 11.30 on Sunday 9th June, but we will be celebrating a mattins service (without Communion) at Shaw's Corner as the Art Show is taking place this same weekend. This is an interesting opportunity for our organist to play the hymns on Bernard Shaw's own piano! This is our regular monthly worship and you are most welcome.
Every second Sunday at 11:30 AM for 1 hour

Teach me
Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life to-day that they may bring forth in me the fruits of holiness rather than the fruits of sin. Let me use disappointment as material for patience: Let me use success as material for thankfulness: Let me use suspence as material for perseverance: Let me use danger as material for courage: Let me use reproach as material for longsuffering: Let me use praise as material for humility: Let me use pleasures as material for temperance: Let me use pains as material for endurance.
