Who we are
St. Paul's, Kirkton was de-consecrated in a service held 16 September 2012 with The Rt. Rev. Bob Bennett (Bishop of Huron) officiating. The last regular Sunday worship was on 24 June 2012 and celebrated 150 years of Anglican presence and ministry in the village of Kirkton. The congregations first building had been a log church near Woodham. The first church in Kirkton was a frame structure built in 1862. It was replaced by the current brick building built in 1900. The bell that hung in the first building was in use until the church closed.
In 1999 the congregations of St Paul's, Kirkton and St James Anglican, St Marys merged. In May 2001 Rev. Dr. Dalice Sim became rector.
