Who we are
Experiencing God in worship, community, and service
Saint Simon’s has a long history of serving the communities of Rosedale and Saint Jamestown, but our parishioners come from all over Toronto and beyond. The parish is known for its distinguished musical tradition, and for its outreach to the community beyond its walls: from September to June, a homework club serves children from two neighbouring schools, and music lessons are offered; the Gerrard Resource Centre provides programming on weekday mornings throughout the year; Saint Simon’s houses an extremely well-regarded shelter for homeless men, open 7 days a week (for more information, please visit stsimonsshelter.ca). A variety of community and arts organizations also present programming and events at Saint Simon’s, and the San Lorenzo Ruiz Philipino Anglican congregation makes its home here.
We gather for worship on Sundays, and for other services during the week, to share our experience of God, to affirm our bonds of community, and to seek strength and inspiration to live out the love of God in our own lives. Praying together, reflecting on scripture, and participating in beautiful and thoughtful liturgy connects us to one another, and sends us out into the world to proclaim God’s loving care for all people.
You are welcome at Saint Simon’s, whoever you are and wherever you are on your journey.

Grant us grace
0 Lord our God, grant us grace to desire Thee with our whole heart; that, so desiring, we may seek, and seeking find Thee; and so finding Thee may love Thee; and loving Thee, may hate those sins from which Thou hast redeemed us.
