Who we are
Suffolk Road Church is an independent evangelical church situated just off the main town centre of Sudbury in Suffolk, UK.
We are involved with the other churches of the town through Churches Together in Sudbury.
We have a child protection policy agreed with the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service, www.ccpas.co.uk. This is linked to the Social Services.
We are part of a network of other evangelical churches called Partnership, www.partnershipuk.org.
Our key beliefs are outlined in seven points.
We believe in one God, the creator of all things. We believe in the three persons of the Godhead, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that it is inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that because of sin, we are separated from God. In sending Jesus Christ into the world to die on the cross, the Father has made it possible for all people, by repenting from sin and putting faith in Christ, to have eternal life and receive the Holy Spirit. We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion as taught in the Bible. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and His personal return.
