Who we are
We are a diverse group of people who have centered our lives around one thing - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But this personal relationship with Christ is also a corporate relationship - we meet together as the Bible commands us to do.
to worship the Lord by singing songs of praise and hearing His Word preached
to meet with our 'brothers and sisters in Christ'
to learn more about God
to enjoy each other's fellowship
to pray for one another
to help each other in times of grief, pain, and difficulty
to rejoice together in God's goodness
to raise our children to honor God and to train them in biblical values
to have a place where we can worship freely
to reach those who do not know Christ as their personal Savoir
to love people and be a blessing to others
to be a refuge and a place of hope in a world that is hopeless without Christ
to make a difference for Christ
to love all people from all walks of life

Leader Bio:
Dave Pittman is not the founder of TBC, but he might as well be. Due to his vision, energy, work ethic, and love for God, the ministry of Temple Baptist Church has grown tremendously under his godly leadership. By June 2019, Pastor will have served at Temple for thirty years and have influenced many for the cause of Christ. Pastor is a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, but has otherwise adopted well to the Old Dominion. Â

Temple Baptist Church History
Temple Baptist Church began in the mid-1970's when a group of Bible believers decided to form a church. They orIginally met at Herndon High School until property could be purchased. That property happened to be next door to the high school. Eventually it became the campus of Temple Baptist. A church building was erected, followed by numerous additions - so much so that now the six acre campus is packed.
God has been good to our ministry. There has been tremendous growth since the tiny congregation originally met. And all of the church buildings are paid for.
We are poised now in a new phase of ministry as we seek to move to the Ashburn property in the next few years, as God provides. (When we sell our present buildings!)

Inspire my thoughts
Holy Spirit of God, visit now this soul of mine, and tarry within it until the eventide. Inspire all my thoughts. Pervade all my imaginations. Suggest all my decisions. Lodge in my soul's most inward citadel, and order all my doings. Be with me in silence and in my speech, in my haste and in my leisure, in company and in solitude, in the freshness of the morning and the weariness of the evening. Give me grace at all times to rejoice in Thy mysterious companionship.
