Who we are
The Lighthouse Church is a Pentecostal Church based in Sandown Isle of wight.
The Lighthouse Church came into being as Bethel Church in 1946 by a lady alone with a small group of people who believed that the time was right to begin a new expression of the life of Jesus in Sandown.
Over the last 70+ years, God has brought together a family of his people from all walks of life, nationalities and established a firm foundation to build upon.
It was during 2017 when God gave us a Vision of a Lighthouse for identity, moving forward into the new season, with a purpose of:
Reaching the Lost Discipling the Found Serving the Risen King
It is our desire to communicate in words and action the "Good News" of the Kingdom of God and invite as many people as possible to enter into it.

Leader Bio:
Drew and Kerry have known each other since they were teenagers, where they met at Church Youth Group. Following 26 years of friendship, and paths that took them on different journeys, Drew finally had the courage to ask Kerry to marry him, in 2012 they became a ‘Blended‘ family which now includes four wonderful children; but not forgetting their two cocker spaniels!
On January 1st 2018, The Lighthouse Church was founded by Drew and Kerry, following a transition from being appointed by the incumbent Church and anointed by God to be the Senior (Drew) and Associate (Kerry) Pastors moving forward into the new season of the Life of the Church.
Their mission is to ‘to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ’ as found in the Epistle to the Ephesians 4: 11-16, identifying the offices of the 5 Fold Ministries (the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and the teachers) and providing the all important discipleship to fulfil these roles and execute the Great Commission.
Our Pastors desire and hope to see God’s Word and the Holy Spirit come together with great power and without compromise. They are passionate about seeing revival and extending God’s Kingdom in Sandown and beyond – bringing people into a fresh relationship with God, and discipling them to be the best they can be.

We need passion
We need passion in our faith! Instead of praying, 'If I should die before I wake', we should pray, 'Lord wake me up before I die!'
